ArtHouse Jersey will be celebrating the tenth year of our partnership with Skipton International and its commitment
to the arts and the Island community with an ambitious, large-scale exhibition that aims to inspire and engage the whole
Island. The Skipton Big Ideas exhibition will host a number of site-specific, interactive installations created by local and
international artists and architects, within a St Helier location. Creatives will explore key themes facing our society, including: community, accessibility, and sense of place.
One of the installations will be a community work, designed by local artists Kerry Jane Warner and Margarida Lourenco who will run workshops with local school children and their families to encourage cross generational conversations. Our ‘call to artists’ launched in October 2019 and the Big Ideas exhibition will be open to the public from mid-September to mid- October 2020. The venue will also play host to evening performances during the course of the exhibition.
